ABOUT

Welcome to Alokhanya Wellness, which means “bringing light,” Our mission is to illuminate hope, foster resilience, and empower individuals to reach their full potential.

Meet Nompumelelo,
“Mpume” Nkumane

I am a registered Educational Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, families, and schools.

My journey into psychology began through education. With ten years of teaching experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the diverse emotional, behavioural, and learning needs of children and young people. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth when provided with the right support, understanding, and opportunities.

Work
Approach

I am trained integratively across various therapeutic modalities. My work focuses on supporting individuals with emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges through evidence-based, holistic interventions tailored to each individual’s needs. Alokhanya is grounded in a collaborative, client-centered approach, working closely with parents, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to support optimal development and well-being. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can better understand themselves, build resilience, and reach their full potential.
